Hung out with Nabe today. Met up and went to Kichijoji Aki Matsuri (Autumn Festival) for grilled squid, ramune, and an absolutely incredible baked potato with butter and miso. It was a small festival with omikoshi (both adult and child versions carrying the ... portable shrine for lack of a better word) with my mind melting from the sheer cuteness of the child omikoshi. Grabbed “taco rice” which is essentially meat, shredded lettuce/cabbage, and cheese over rice. It actually tastes better than it sounds. Looked at Seiyu out there to look at bikes and headed back to Ogikubo to look at bikes and get a damn wire shelf rack to put my food on.
Went to Ikebukuro to go to “Nekobukuro” a shop that lets you pet 18 cats and give them a little bit of treat at certain times of the day. Headed to dinner and then saw the movie “Summer Wars” which was really good, and really Japanese. If it makes it out to the States, I highly recommend it.
